Buckingham Palace & Kensington Palace

this morning was so cold... i tot winter ended.. but the weather suddenly changed. and i wasnt prepared when i went out.. so half a time when i was walking home, i felt so cold. its like seeping into my bones.
ohh...we saw snow flakes too and its really nice.. :) but didnt take any picture because i dunn think it is visble on the camera.

anyway, if u are wondering why i am toking about next day and not the very first day i am in London its because the entry is below. pls scoll down.. :)

Next day, we went to Buckingham Palace to see the Mounted of Guards at 11am.
The changing of the Queens Life Guards (Mounted on Horses) take place daily at 11am Monday to Saturday and 10am on Sunday. But there wouldnts be changing of guards on rainy days.

Before arriving at Buckingham Palace, we passed by St James's Park and the scenery is so beautiful and relaxing. I think i can sit by the lake whole afternoon to just enjoy the view...oh ya.. with a cup of hot coffee too.. :)

oh well...i dont have time for that.. arghh... **day dreaming**

There are quite a number of squirrels at the park... they look so adorable running here and there... okiee.. here we are at BUCKINGHAM PALACE

Me and my German frenze, Beatrice the admission fee is about 14 or 16 pounds, to go into Buckingham Palace. its rather expensive and we didnt have much time for the tour. so we just stood outside to see the changing of guards for about 2 hrs and head off to Kensington Palace, where Princess Diana stayed... :)

There were so many people waiting to see the Mounted of Guards.. its like those teenages chasing after taiwanese idols.

There are two types of Queen's Life Guard. A Long Guard consisting of 17 men is mounted when The Queen is resident in London, otherwise a Short Guard made up of 12 men is mounted.

and if u wanna see if the Queen is in her resident, you will have to see the Flag that is on top of the building. British Flag means she is not at home. The Royal Family Flag means she is home.
**opposite Buckingham Palace... crowds of people...

**okie.. marching is over... :D

**All of us..

we bought a day travel ticket for bus and train where by we can take it unlimited for 5 pounds. its really convenient to travel around London. very similar to Singapore.

so we took a bus to Kensington Palace... and i paid 10 pounds to visit it. only 3 of us went. the rest didnt want to.

**Kensington PalaceIn it, they show case about the dressing, clothes of the royal family. the top grade material they use to make the clothes.... what they wore for different function, the various chambers. And of course, Princess Diana port folio, her videos, her clothes. its really very interesting. well.. i admit i am bad at descripting. so if u are going London, see it for youself. :)
London Tube.

(they called it Tube not train)

Their traveling cards are called Oyster. while ours is Ezi- Link Its rather small rite??ChinaTown
Picadilly Circus (above)

Harrods
Harrods is a little similar to Takashimaya. but i feel that it is more posh than Takashimaya.

Below is a photo of their groceries department.

we went to the Kids department to take a look. And do u want to make a guess how much is this children vehicle? it is a little smaller than a queen size bed. it has real engine to operate and need petrol too. but i forgot how fast it can go...
